Official Warnings API
The meteoblue Official Warnings API provides access to severe weather warnings issued by official authorities, such as national weather services. It allows applications, platforms, dashboards, and operational systems to retrieve active warnings for a selected geographic location and integrate them into automated alerting, monitoring, and decision-support workflows.
Warnings are returned for the requested coordinates and may include the affected warning area, official warning text, classification information, severity, urgency, certainty, validity period, and related metadata. The API is based on the CAP 1.2 Common Alerting Protocol where available, supporting standardised use of warning information across different systems and regions.
The Warnings API uses a separate endpoint and cannot be combined with Forecast API or History API packages. Warning availability depends on the information provided by the issuing authorities.
